Grinding a stump can be done two different ways. Grinding below grade to allow for grass seed to be planted is the most popular method for stump removal. if you want to plant a new tree in the future (recommended to wait at least 12 months) then we can grind the stump 20 inches below grade. Standard procedure is to leave all stump grindings behind to fill in the hole, The grindings will turn into black dirt, saving you money. Stump grindings can be hauled out upon your request, for an additional fee.
Digging out a stump requires an excavator and is the most costly method of stump removal. This method involves digging out the entire stump and root ball, allowing for immediate planting of a new tree. in some cases MISDIG may need to be notified of work being done, we will take care of this for you.
